The services provided by an Interior Design are far and wide, from helping your source a dining room table to decorating a new build with all its interior finishes. From kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, painting and decorating, wallpapers, lighting, furniture and accessories like cushions, mirrors and pictures, we can put it all together to give that cohesive look.

We also recover and re-upholster chairs and stools, design beautiful plush headboards that give your bedroom that touch of affordable luxury and comfort, its a room we spend a lot of time in and we need to feel relaxed, safe and warm to gain the most from our sleep.
You see! interior design is not just about the esthetics, the look will be fabulous of course but its no good looking amazing when it doesn't suit you, your family or your lifestyle, that why the secret of a great designer is to look beyond the finishing touches and designs firstly for your lifestyle.
Now! you wouldn't put cream carpet in a farm cottage, we need hard wearing surfaces to deal with the daily life of the farm, similarly heavy drapes to keep the cold out are not required in a new modern apartment, where space and light are key and the reason why we bought the place.

The properties we purchase are generally keys to what our tastes are ? big bulky furniture are best suited to a large period property and modular furniture will sit neatly into a modern house, However, they are not the hard and fast rules as both can be changed with the help of some great craftsmen, but generally our taste dictate what house we go for, yes budget is a huge consideration and we spend an enormous amount of time and effort into modernising old properties. but is will come back to whether that house fits our needs at the time we are renovating to whether you have a successful design, now don't get me wrong there are many DIY'ers that have great taste and do a terrific job, but for those amongst you that dont know where to start im your girl.
I did a renovation on this huge victorian house back in the 80's, I knocked walls down, took away the parquet floor in the hall and did not include the downstairs cloakroom within that new design!!!!!! OHHHHH Yes im sorry for all of the above but I I was young and inexperienced, I didn't look to the future and the extra rooms i would need with a growing family plus the extra loo, :( plus all of their friends and the hamster, and the cats and my family, so I understand that looking into the future with young children what your requirement are. At the other end of the scale facing retirement we spend all out time getting rid of the stuff we've collected and need easy functioning light supportive furniture and modern accessories.

I'm currently working for a lovely couple who's town house is very sophisticated and suited their lifestyle before they had children, but now with bags and books and toys etc etc, they require a softer happier place full of soft colours easy clean furnishings and key lighting.
Space that is set aside for the toys, crayons and cars and dolls.
Large tables to accommodate the school projects and space for homework as the children grow are key, then years later we can have that beautiful pale sofa that we always desired.
As with out clothing, our interiors change with our lifestyle, and what is on trend on the high street maybe not the colours and styles we actually like and want. An interior designer can save you a lot of money, we can guide you to decisions to fulfill your interior design and make your lifestyle fit you.
